How to Make a Double-Crust Pie

November 24, 2015 Marie Silvio

We spent some time finding the perfect way to top your pie and picked a few of our favorites. Turn dessert into a work of art with these cute, festive, and fun ideas!

When this pie hits the table, it’s sure to “wow” your guests. It’s so simple but evokes a feeling of comfort that lets you know you’re home.

Roll out your dough so it will generously cover your pie, which should be heaping high with apples. Pinch around the edges to combine the dough and seal in all that steaming gorgeousness. A few slits on the top and you’re ready for baking. We used our recipe for Double-Crust Apple Pie, but most fruit pies will take around 55 minutes in the oven.
